Wellsford Forest Conservation ‘Protect the Wellsford Forest & let the Ironbarks grow’
Non for Profit

Friends of the Wellsford Forest belong to a number of groups such as the Bendigo District Environment Council, Bendigo Field Naturalists Club, Various Landcare Groups, La Trobe Environmental Action Forum and individuals seeking the protection of the Wellsford Forest particularly from the devastating effects of on-going logging. Habitat for small mammals, bird species and insects and rare flora have been removed or burned and areas surrounding the ancient Ironbarks destroyed. Changing the status of the Wellsford Forest to Regional will provide better protection for this important forest.
