An exhibition that follows the journeys of migrants from the Greek island of Zakynthos who settled in Unley and South Australia in the 1950s and 60s.

We wish everyone a happy new year! And what a way to start it with the announcement that the Federal Government have awarded $2.66m in grant funding toward our plans for a redevelopment !

The expansion of our museum into a cultural hub will provide bigger gallery spaces, a workshop area, studio, research centre and larger collection storage facility that will allow us to stage more dynamic program of exhibitions and activities of greater scale, attract nationally touring exhibitions and provide opportunities for our community, artists, researchers and creatives to learn, share and engage with history, art and culture.

The All Connections to Unley Art Prize is now open to all artists for a chance to win the major prize of $5,000.

What’s in a Number

Ever wondered why we have a seven day week, or who decided how many lives cats have? Dive into What’s in a Number and travel through time and space to learn all@kinds of weird and wonderful things about the humble number.

Roll the dice and play our live board game and see if you can pass the final challenge.

On Friday night we were awarded the IA Medal and best Temporary Display by Interpretation Australia for our exhibition quiet flowers blazing dragons Jessamine Buxton Retrospective held 23 November to 29 March 2024.

Thank you to IA, the judging panel and all of our community and supporters. We are very excited and honoured to receive these two awards!!
