Our mission couldn't be achieved without the volunteer team that sits behind OEF:

🫶 Each week more than 475 volunteer hours go into collecting, sorting and delivering food.
🙌 Over a year, that's $1.29M of labour contributed for free by people who believe in our mission to feed people and reduce waste.

Car racing fans at Historic Winton hear about Outer East Foodshare when a race is sponsored in our name! Even better when a BlendTV interview gives us chance to talk to race goers about the growing need for food support for working families. And we couldn't help making sure that surplus food from lunches went to people in need at Benalla.

What do you do with over 3000+ muesli bars? Donate them to Outer East Foodshare!

These museli bars were well within their best before dates, but came in slightly damaged boxes. Inside is a great snack - for adults or to fill children's lunchboxes. They didn't last long in the hub and were quickly sent out to our partners and off to people in need.

April was busy! Who are we kidding? Every month is busy at Outer East Foodshare.

This financial year we have so far distributed over 400,000 kilograms of food! That’s around 1700 full shopping trolleys that have come through our hub and found their way to our partners, and then into the fridges and pantries of people in need.

It's already a record-breaking year for us. How far can we go before the end of June?

Do you have pet food sitting at home that your fussy cat or dog won’t eat? 🐈‍⬛🐕

We are desperately in need of pet food to share with pet owners who are struggling to afford it. Drop your donations to our Wantirna Hub, 51 Templeton Street Wantirna. (Monday to Friday 9am - 12pm). 🐾

This week is Volunteer Week and every week is special thanks to our wonderful teams of Hub volunteers and drivers. Without them we couldn't pick up the 40 tonnes of food each month to help agencies feed people in need. Our volunteers willingly pick up food on rainy and hot days, keep the hub clean, sort the yucky fruit from the good fruit, help each other, select food for each agency and still manage to smile. Thanks for every one of you.
