We recognize all our volunteers who sacrifice their personal time to be part of our brigade and recognise all the members who do this with us statewide, and across the country.

Thank you to all who give their time to protect lives and property.

This morning, members of Warrandyte CFA stood proudly alongside our community at the Warrandyte RSL to honour the service and sacrifice of Australian men and women.

On a day of reflection and respect, we paused to remember those who have given so much, and those who continue to serve.

Lest we forget.

A big thank you to Aumanns At Warrandyte for their generous donation and for recognising the value of our volunteers.

Support like this makes a real difference. It’s great to see local businesses backing the people who give their time to protect others.

We appreciate your support and commitment to our volunteers 👏

🚨 Smoke alarms save lives, but the right battery can make all the difference 🚨

Did you know that smoke alarms powered by lithium iron batteries offer longer-lasting, more reliable protection for your home and family?

Unlike standard batteries, lithium iron batteries:
🔋 Last significantly longer without replacement
🔋 Provide consistent, dependable power
🔋 Reduce the risk of battery failure from flat or removed batteries
🔋 Help ensure your smoke alarm is always ready when you need it most

The CFA strongly encourages households to ensure smoke alarms are installed, working, and fitted with reliable power sources...because early warning gives you the best chance to escape safely in a fire.

Take a few minutes this weekend, to check your smoke alarms. It could save a life.

We’re not fighting fires today, we’re in the city with South Warrandyte CFA collecting for the Good Friday Appeal!

If you see collectors out today, give if you can. But we know cash is tough…so here’s a link, so you can give through your local CFAs: https://fundraise.goodfridayappeal.com.au/fundraisers/SouthWarrandyteCFA

Thank you to Community Bank Warrandyte for continually supporting and funding our community. We’ve been lucky enough to receive several grants to improve our station, funding for training, and local drafting points.

A great community funding resource that we couldn’t do without. Support them, so they can continue to support us.
