🙂📢 ATTENDANCE MATTERS – Reasons for Absence 💙❤️
Every day at school is an opportunity to learn, grow and succeed! 📚✨
We understand that children sometimes need to miss school due to illness, family reasons or unexpected events. However, parents and carers must explain their child’s absence within 7 calendar days of the first day of absence.
✅ Know what reasons for absence are acceptable.
📝 Return absence explanation forms promptly.
📞 Contact the school if you need help or have questions about your child’s attendance.
🌏 Need an interpreter? Call the Telephone Interpreter Service on 131 450 and ask for an interpreter in your language. This service is free.
Working together, we can support every student to attend school regularly and reach their potential. 💙

📢 ATTENDANCE MATTERS – Applying for Extended Leave ✈️

Planning a family holiday during the school term? 🧳

We encourage families to plan holidays during school vacation periods, as travel during term time is recorded as an absence.
If your child needs to be away from school for more than 5 school days for travel, you must complete an Extended Leave – Travel form. The Principal will consider the request and decide whether the leave can be approved.
💙 Need help? If you have questions or need support completing the form, please contact Warrawong High School.
