It may be a bit different to what you normally see, but there is a good reason behind it.

Being an SES volunteer isnt just about ropes, chainsaws and storm damage. It also means looking after our bodies so we are prepared to help the community whenever it matters most.

This week our training looked a little different as our members got an introduction to yoga.

Focusing on flexibility, balance, core strength, injury prevention and recovery yoga helps to keep our members safe and operational.

A huge thankyou to Jess from Essence Of My Heart Yoga for coming in and guiding our members through this session. There were a few laughs and a few wobbles but plenty of stretches.
