A big thank you to Penny and Michelle from Randwick TAFE, who are studying a Bachelor of Early Childhood and Education and have just completed their Professional Experience placement with our Factory team.

They jumped straight in on their second day, supporting our Volunteer Awards and taking the lead on creating decorations for National Hamburger Day.

We wrapped up our May activities by celebrating National Hamburger Day, which is always a huge hit. The event brought everyone together for a relaxed and fun atmosphere, with a BBQ-style setup serving a variety of hamburgers, including vegetarian options. Attendees had the chance to customise their burgers, enjoy refreshments, and connect with others in the community. It was a great way to finish off the month, with plenty of smiles, good food, and positive feedback from everyone involved.

Congratulations City of Sydney RSPCA NSW and the Cat Protection Society NSW on another fantastic Redfern Waterloo Pet day event which we are proud to partner with!

During the four hours, more than 700 residents attended with 347 companion animals, including 236 dogs, 106 cats, and 5 rabbits. All pets received free veterinary health checks.

This much-loved event would not be possible without the support of over 100 veterinarians, veterinary students, and volunteers from the valued event partners.
