Thank you to everyone who turned up to our Get Ready Weekend event along with Glenugie Rural Fire Brigade. It was a great day. Smokey the Koala enjoyed himself immensely.

Today we wake up to a strong smell of smoke and it being very hazy. This is from a fire in Buccarumbi yesterday. So if smell and haze can travel that far so can embers.

So remember the theme of this year’s GRW ‘One Ember Can End It’. A timely reminder to get those gutters cleaned. Look around your garden and lawn, what else can embers get into. It is very dry out there so clean up before the fire gets to you.

Smokey’s here. Come and say hi.
