One of our very own.
Michelle is a very valuable crew member within Whittingham as well as currently holding the position of Secretary. We are SUPER proud of her achievements within the Fire Brigade Community whether it’s on a truck, keeping us all in check and up to date for meetings and correspondence to now having our backs and others in the Communication team.
Great work Michelle and a big thank you from your Whittingham Crew.
Introducing Michelle
🔥 How long have you been a member?
I joined Hunter Valley Communications Brigade in December 2024.
🚒 Are you a dual member?
Absolutely! I've also been a member of Whittingham Rural Fire Brigade since December 2023.
📡 What do you love about being a Communications Operator?
I enjoy seeing how the Incident Management Team operates during incidents and have a real interest in bushfire behaviour and prediction. With a young family, being part of HV Comms is also a great way to stay involved with the RFS while balancing family life and commitments at Whittingham.
🙌 What advice would you give someone thinking about joining?
Just give it a go! You’re not locked in if it’s not for you, but I think you’ll probably find you really enjoy it. The HV Comms team are a lovely bunch of people and have been really welcoming.”
We love having passionate volunteers who want to learn, contribute and support our local brigades. Every member brings something unique to our team, and we’re excited to introduce more of our people over the coming weeks!
Thanks Michelle, we love your work!
