Carnegie Station is a working cattle station and Station Stay with doonga style ten room twin single accomodation and camp grounds, visitors centre with souviners, fuel diesel and unleaded for sale and own airstrip if flying in with avgas available aswell allowing visitors to experience outback life on one of the most remote cattle stations in australia, located on the gunbarrel hwy so perfect trip for 4 wheel drivers wanting to take a trip down the gunbarrel from alice spring to wa or wa to alice springs. Carnegie station is the beggining of the WA end of the gunbarrel and last fuel stop for 500kms, as well as a stoping point for the start or end of the canning stock route. Carnegie station is also a weather station for the Bureau of meterology with weather reading taken 4 times a day from the station. Weare are nearly the same distance from Alice springs as perth, just over 1500km from the Alice and just over 1300km from perth.
