A huge thank you to our incredible members who always go over and beyond to support.

Today we recognise those who's duty it is to run towards danger when others are told to leave.

On International Firefighter Day, we thank our incredible CFA members and all of those who protect communities in times of crisis and every day in between.

Your courage, commitment and care don't go unnoticed.

🔥 Fuel Reduction Burn – Old Stanley Road 🔥

Wodonga Fire Brigade recently assisted with a planned fuel reduction burn along Old Stanley Road, an important secondary evacuation route for the Stanley community.

The burn covered approximately 800m–1km in length and 20m in width. Crews spent Friday establishing control lines before completing ignition on Saturday using spot‑lighting techniques, with weather conditions monitored throughout to ensure a safe and effective operation.

A strong effort alongside crews from Tawonga, Yackandandah, Beechworth, Beechworth Rural, Woragee, Castlemaine, Girgarre, Wodonga West, Stanley, Toolamba, Kergunyah, and District 24 Vegetation Management. 👏🔥
