When you are caring for your beautiful bunnies or celebrating your rabbit friends this weekend, please spare a thought this Easter for the Australian Bilby🌼.

Wonderful fauna agencies and veterinarians are working hard to protect and save the Bilby population across Australia. You can find out more about Save the Bilby and their National Recovery Plan 🌏on their profile. Pets at Peace Illawarra are proud to care for native Australian wildlife in need of respectful aftercare.

Today is "Anxious Dogs Day", a reminder to show extra love and understanding to our furry friends who may be struggling with anxiety and nerves 🐾

Being aware of the signs of anxiety and catching them early can help our best mates cope and thrive:

- Panting, pacing, shivering
- Inability to settle
- Barking or howling when you are out of the house
- Running away or cowering
- Digging, trying to escape
- Destroying or urinating on furniture
- Excessive self-licking or chewing
- Lack of interest in food

It's important to offer gentle reassurance and positive reinforcement to our dog friends and to support them with the patience and care they need, seeking guidance from a veterinary specialist where appropriate.

Also, keep an eye out for dogs in yellow collars and leads, and try to give them a little space while they learn and adjust, showing them kindness and understanding ❀
