π This National Reconciliation week we're celebrating the Wadi Wadi Mixed Tribe Dance Troupe through our new photo exhibition.
It marks 20 years since the troupe travelled to Wollongong's sister city in Macedonia, becoming the first Aboriginal dance troupe to perform there.
Through photos and recorded oral histories, the exhibition shares memories from the tour and recognises the troupe's role in sharing Aboriginal culture on the international stage.
This exhibition is a chance to listen, learn and recognise local Aboriginal histories, cultures and experiences, and embraces the National Reconciliation Week theme of All in on reconciliation.
See it now on level 1 of Wollongong Library, or listen to the oral histories and view the exhibition online: https://illawarrastories.com.au
