The SBRC Centre recently participated in the Air Conditioning, Refrigeration, and Building Services (ARBS) Exhibition held in Sydney. This year's event attracted over 340 exhibitors and welcomed over 9,000 attendees across three days. The exhibition provided an excellent platform for SBRC to showcase its latest innovations and connect with industry leaders. The team had productive discussions and gained valuable insights into emerging trends and technologies in the field. Overall, the ARBS Exhibition proved a significant opportunity for SBRC to enhance its industry presence and foster new collaborations.
We are thrilled to announce that the SBRC Centre was nominated for the Project Excellence Award at the ARBS Industry Awards 2024. This prestigious nomination recognizes our commitment to innovation and excellence in the air conditioning, refrigeration, and building services sectors. Being shortlisted for this award is an honour and a testament to our team's hard work and dedication. We are proud to be considered among the industry’s leading projects.

Designing and constructing such buildings will be explored through real-time research. The study will establish definitive guidelines for delivering the most sustainable buildings in Australia, giving improved understanding of how to create “living buildings”.
Congratulations, Tim!

This is fantastic!
During National Science Week I have had a chance to catch up with some of the first-class scientists and engineers we have in Wollongong. Many are working on new materials for energy generation, transmission and storage at UOW: Intelligent Polymer Research Institute, Sustainable Buildings Research Centre, Institute for Superconducting and Electronic Materials and other research groups or at spin-out companies like Hysata but all of them are keen to develop and commercialise technology in the Illawarra to support new and existing industries. 👩🔬🧑🔬
