It was fantastic to see our emergency services and community organisations coming together, showcasing their capabilities and connecting with the people we are here to support.

Thank you to everyone who came along, stopped for a chat, asked questions and took the opportunity to learn more about disaster preparedness.

We love working together to build a safer, stronger and better prepared community!

Getting Ready is something we can do together!

Join us at the Emergency Services Expo this Saturday, 10 October, from 9am–12pm at the Bundaberg Multiplex.

Meet representatives from the State Emergency Service, Queensland Fire and Rescue, Rural Fire Service Queensland, Queensland Police, Australian Red Cross, Surf Life Saving, LifeFlight, Royal Flying Doctor Service, nbn, and Digital Access.

Explore the emergency service vehicles and equipment, learn about Wild Weather with The Crazy Scientist at 10am, catch the QPS Dog Squad demo at 11am, enjoy a free sausage sizzle and pick up practical tips to prepare your household for severe weather

It’s a great opportunity to meet the people and organisations who support our community before, during and after emergencies, and learn how you can be better prepared for the storm season ahead!

Grab a few extra items next time you're at the supermarket and you'll have an emergency kit in no time.

• Keep spare batteries and charged power banks in your kit
• Include a battery-operated radio
• Store important documents in a waterproof wallet, or back them up on your computer
• Don’t forget your pets!

Last weekend Woodgate SES Group participated in the Woodgate Community Expo.

It was great to get out into the community, talk to locals and share more about what SES does. We had some really positive engagement throughout the day.
