🎉 MUP1: Celebrating Learning, Friendship and Fun!
This term, our MUP1 classrooms have been buzzing with excitement as the children explore our connected learning unit, Celebrations! 🎈 We’ve been discovering the many ways people celebrate special moments, traditions and events in our local communities, across Australia and in neighbouring communities.
Through engaging stories, hands-on maths investigations and creative activities, the children have been solving practical problems involving numbers and quantities, designing delicious celebration foods and creating colourful decorations. They’ve also been learning how celebrations are planned, shared and enjoyed, and how special events bring people together.
As we explore significant events, symbols, emblems, special places and community participation, the children are learning how celebrations help us appreciate culture, identity and diversity while building a strong sense of belonging. There have been plenty of opportunities to share ideas, get creative, ask questions and learn from one another along the way! 🌏✨
Term 4 brought even more excitement as the children welcomed our brand-new Adventure Playground! 🛝 It has been a huge hit, with the children enjoying opportunities to explore, climb, play and share a wide range of activities with their friends during play breaks.
It’s been wonderful to see so much curiosity, creativity, collaboration and laughter throughout the term. From exploring celebrations around the world to making memories on the new playground, our children have certainly found plenty of reasons to celebrate!
