We have an opportunity for our Mob to help shape something important, and we want YOU to be part of it!

We're looking for:
- First Nations people with intellectual disability
- Families, carers and community members
- Advocates and people with lived experience.

We're bringing people together for 3–4 small, relaxed yarning and co-design sessions, kicking off in just a couple of weeks!

We want to hear what works, what doesn't, and what culturally safe self-advocacy should actually look like for our communities.

You don't need to be an expert. Your lived experience and cultural knowledge are the expertise we're looking for!

Because decisions about our Mob should never be made without our Mob.

Keen to be involved? Send Mob4Mob a message or comment below and we'll get in touch with more information.

A little rain wasn’t going to stop the fun! ☔

It might have been a little chilly and damp, but that didn’t stop everyone from having a fantastic time at Taum’s Fishing Day last week!

We had a wonderful turnout, plenty of smiles, lots of laughs and a great day spent together at Baxter’s Jetty. 💙

A big thank you to everyone who came along and made the day so special!

🐟 Keen to join us next time? Keep an eye on our page for the next Taum’s Fishing Day date. We’d love to see you there!

Today, we wrote to Ministers about changes needed to social security and employment services for people with an intellectual disability.

We shared practical recommendations that are especially important as NDIS support changes begin in October. We want to make sure changes across the NDIS, social security and employment systems work together and do not create more barriers to work and economic participation.

We made Easy Read information to help explain the changes that are needed. You can read it and a big report about the data that supports our recommendations on our website here: https://www.inclusionaustralia.org.au/about-income-support-payments/

Today is Self Advocacy Day 💙

Hear from Chris S - Loud and Clear Qld member and P2P employee - as he shares what self-advocacy means to him.

For us at Parent to Parent Qld and Loud and Clear Qld, self-advocacy is about people having the confidence, knowledge and opportunity to speak up about what matters to them.

It’s about knowing your rights, making your own choices, being included in decisions about your life and having your voice genuinely heard.

And importantly, it’s about creating communities where people with disability are not only included in conversations, but are leading them.

Self-advocacy sits at the heart of so much of what we do - supporting people to build confidence, develop their voice, connect with others and create change.

Today, we celebrate self-advocates like Chris and everyone who speaks up, shares their experiences and helps make things better for themselves and others.

Because every voice matters. 💙
