SPRING IS HERE:
Please start Preparing your property now while conditions are right.
🔥 If burning off today (great day for it) remember to register your burn.
Read below for more local CFA insight…..

El Nino has been declared and we can expect warmer and drier conditions through Spring and Summer.
We had good winter rains, but warm and windy weather has meant that surface fuels have dried out. You can even start a burn off with just a match!

YOUR Wye River Brigade volunteers are ASKING YOU TO :
Clean up now! Don’t wait until Cup Weekend! The longer you leave it, the less safe it will be!
Not confirmed, but FIRE RESTRICTIONS will most likely start November 1.

Remember when burning off:
📞 Register your burn with Firecom 1800 668511
* Burn off days are Friday and Saturday
* Allow good clearance around the burn off area
* Have water on hand
* Wear adequate clothing, gloves, eye protection
* Light up downwind or on the higher side of the slope
* Ensure fire is fully extinguished before leaving
* Stay hydrated

Don’t wait, give us a chop out & clean up now!
