Wynyard RSL Sub-Branch — Thank You for Supporting Our Future

A BIG THANK YOU TO THOSE WHO SUPPORT OUR SUB-BRANCH

Last Wednesday, 30 September, the Wynyard RSL Sub-Branch had the pleasure of welcoming representatives from Freemasons Tasmania – Wynyard Chapter and Anne Urquhart MP, representing the Australian Government’s 2025–26 Volunteer Grants Program.

We were extremely proud to present each with a Certificate of Appreciation in recognition of the support provided through successful grant applications.

Freemasons Tasmania – Wynyard Chapter

Our morning began with a visit from representatives of the Wynyard Chapter of Freemasons Tasmania. Their generous grant has contributed towards important improvements at our Sub-Branch, helping us continue to maintain and improve our facilities for our members and the wider community.

Australian Government – 2025–26 Volunteer Grants Program

Later in the day, we were pleased to welcome Anne Urquhart MP to the Sub-Branch to present a Certificate of Appreciation for the successful Volunteer Grant.

The funding received through this program will assist us in continuing to support our volunteers and the important work they undertake within our Sub-Branch and community.

It was also a great opportunity to show both our visitors where the funding is being allocated, the work that has already been undertaken, and our plans for the future.

Our Sub-Branch is entering an exciting period of repairs, maintenance and improvements to our building. There is still plenty of work ahead, but these grants are an important part of helping us preserve our facilities and ensure the Wynyard RSL Sub-Branch remains a welcoming and functional place for veterans, their families, our members and the wider community for many years to come.

On behalf of the Wynyard RSL Sub-Branch Committee and our members, we sincerely thank:

Freemasons Tasmania – Wynyard Chapter
The Australian Government – 2025–26 Volunteer Grants Program
Anne Urquhart MP

for recognising the work being undertaken by our Sub-Branch and for supporting our volunteers.

Your support is helping us build for the future while preserving a place that has served our veterans and community for generations.

Lest We Forget. 🇦🇺

It was fantastic having the candidates who are looking at putting their hands up as a Councilor and or Mayor for the Waratah Wynyard Council. Thank you for coming into the Subbranch and allowing us to have a chat with you all.

Thankyou to Wynyard RSL President Damien and Secretary Allan for meeting with council candidates today.

The RSL plays an important role in our community and, like many local organisations, relies on community support and volunteers.

You can help by supporting their major fundraiser, the Tulip Festival Cocktail Party. 🌷🥂
