Yet again our wonderful community came together to make our school proud.

Taking part in the Rodeo parade is a highlight of our year and a fun morning was had. The kids and parents all chipped in to decorate and we marched together.

A big thank you to the Fraser family for their truck , roses and epic organisational skills. Liddy and Amanda for making 500 packets of seeds to hand out , Tegan for sweating in the Howie costume and Tanya for the hay bales.

Our 3-6 students have been learning about the art of persuasion as well.

Their topic has been persuasion devices used in advertising, in particular cereal boxes.

Today the students investigated real life cereal boxes to spot all the tricks we have been learning about over the last few weeks.

Next steps will be designing their own cereal box and a speech to persuade their teachers to buy their product.

It was with trepidation that the P-2 students entered the classroom this week. Would something else be locked away from them?

To their surprise there was nothing locked away but there was something special. It was Mrs Lamb’s treat jar.

Now anyone who knows Mrs Lamb knows she has a sweet tooth and always has treats around at school.

So the students’ mission this week was to persuade Mrs Lamb to share.

Ideas were brainstormed, letters written and finally today the letters were read out to Mrs Lamb.

I’m happy to say they must’ve done a good job because reports are the sweet jar was cracked open and shared around.
