🌧️ Muddy, wet and a whole lot of fun!

Everton Farm Supplies Open Day last friday still pulled a ripper turnout, with Woody and the team having planted a terrific pasture demo site showcasing how different varieties perform in local conditions.

The result? Some impressive comparisons in the paddock, plenty of good conversations — and our EziGraze Oats topping the dry matter yields! 🌾💪

When you support Valley Seeds, you directly support our Australian seed producers like Sam.

“Amazing how much growth the crop has produced from such a late sowing. I will be sowing increased area of Evoke next year.”

Sam Archer, Woodside Park near Cressy, sowed 25ha of Evoke on 2 June — and it’s certainly delivered.

After being grazed by 3,000 ewes & lambs through winter, the sheep came off in mid-August. Following a urea application, the crop has continued to produce impressive growth and will now be cut for silage before being locked up for seed production.

A big congratulations to Darryl Johnson, a large beef cattle producer from the Gloucester region, who took out our Valley Seeds 'Guess the Seed' competition at the Gloucester Rural Supplies 21st Birthday In-Store Day last week!

Darryl put his seed knowledge to the test and scored an impressive 17/20 correct! 👏

His prize? A 25kg bag of Valley Seeds Hay & Silage Late, plus a Castrol esky to keep the summer bevvies cold!

Our team sees plenty of things when they’re out on the road, but last week Regional Business Manager Mitch had to pull over when he spotted 12-year-old Dusty walking from Warren to Canberra — a massive 541km journey in just 16 days. 👏

Dollar For Dusty is raising funds for Little Wings, helping bring paediatric care to kids in regional NSW — a cause incredibly close to home after his own brother fell through the gaps in regional paediatric care.

He’s already raised an incredible $313,000 of his $1 million target. 💙

A huge thank you to Stuart from the Forage Trials Network for putting on a fantastic trial day for the Nutrien & CRT teams last Thursday.

Earlier this year, the Longwood fires significantly impacted farms across the central VIC region.

Now, Shaun & Bella’s paddock at Spring Creek, Fawcett is flourishing after being sown in May with Ezigraze Oats and Astound Annual Ryegrass.

Having been impacted by the fires ourselves, we know recovery looks different on every farm.
