The sun came out for our final day of camp! We made the most of our last two activities, giving archery and beach games a go.

Mrs D showed off her killer aim, managing to pop a balloon, and everyone managed to land at least one arrow on the target (although Mrs Walker took a little longer than most!).

At the beach, students got creative designing sandcastles, played a few games of tag and, of course, dipped their toes in the water and dug for pippies.

What an amazing experience for everyone! The kids are already planning the activities they want to try next time, which says it all.

A big thank you to our families for supporting their children to be part of this adventure. New experiences, plenty of laughs and memories made that will last a lifetime!

Camp Day 2!

After a great night’s sleep (seriously!) and a filling breakfast, we headed out for a full day on the water.

Kayaking was first, exploring all around the lake and taking on different challenges before heading off on a bushwalk to learn about traditional plants and the traditional medical use of the lake.

After lunch, we enjoyed a beautiful beach walk, feeling the waves crash at our feet while discovering plenty of pippies along the way. Then a few quick pool games before afternoon tea.

We finished the day with stand-up paddleboarding, testing our core strength and taking on some fun games and challenges!

Another incredible day of adventure, learning and making memories!

Day 1 of camp

Despite dreary weather, spirits were high as we set off bright and early for camp! After a delicious lunch, we jumped straight into activities. Starting with orienteering and then taking on the giant slip and slide.

The evening was filled with fun night activities in the gym, and after an hour of hill sprints (thanks to the slip and slide!) plus the night games we’re sure everyone will be fast asleep by 9 (right?) ready for another big day tomorrow!

🏆 PSSA Small Schools Knockout Touch Champions – 2026! 🏆

What a day for Yetman Creek!

Three games, three wins and Yetman Creek have taken out the 2026 PSSA Small Schools Knockout Touch competition!

We started the day with a tough game against a very competitive Wardell PS, before taking on Bigga PS who are a team to watch in the coming years, with plenty of younger players showing some serious skills.

Then came the final against our mates from the North West, Rowena PS. A true clash of two great teams! After a long day of competition, it was a nail-biter right to the end, with Yetman Creek sneaking home 6–4.

The sportsmanship shown by every team throughout the day was fantastic and a wonderful reminder of just how special small schools are.

A huge thank you to our families for supporting our students and getting them here, and to Super Coach Mr Pritchard. Your guidance and encouragement of this team has been amazing.

What. A. Day! 🏆🙌

What an incredible day at League Stars Day hosted by the NRL in Warialda today. Our 3-6 students joined forces with Ashford Central School for an exciting day of competition, teamwork and fun.

It was fantastic to see our students connecting with new friends and catching up with old ones. As always - our students made us proud by their outstanding sportsmanship and spirit.

What a big day for our K–2 crew!

This morning we joined our friends at Warialda Public School to enjoy the wonderful Goldilocks Rocks performance.

Then it was off on a big adventure to Cranky Rock! The students were absolutely blown away learning that this incredible rock formation may be at least 240 million years old.

Now we’re off to the footy to cheer on our 3–6 students as they take to the field. A very big day of learning, adventures, friendships and school spirit!

Today we had the last of our favourite family recipes sessions.
Max has always raved about his brother’s version of Caramel Slice and today we had a masterclass in how to make it James’s way. Absolutely delicious!

Today we were pleased to have Mr Holmes, Lucy’s dad, come in to share with us and talk to us about some of his steam engine collection. We learnt about thermal, chemical and electrical engineering and the importance of maintaining moving parts in machinery. A bonus was Mr Holmes harmonica playing. Thank you!

Our senior class joined forces with students from Croppa Creek, Boggabilla, Yelarbon, and Border Rivers schools for the Macintyre Rugby 7's day in Goondiwindi and did an incredible job! They adapted quickly to new teams and many transferred their skills to a new football code, as well as participating in a skills development day. Huge shoutout to the Under 10s, who finished 2nd in the competition! Thank you to Coaches Baker and Siddons for guiding the teams so well.
