আজ ২৬শে মার্চ—মহান স্বাধীনতা দিবস।
একটি গৌরবময় দিন, একটি অনুপ্রেরণার নাম, একটি চিরন্তন চেতনার প্রতীক।
“আজ হতে বাংলাদেশ স্বাধীন”—১৯৭১ সালের এই ঐতিহাসিক আহ্বান বাংলার মানুষের হৃদয়ে জ্বালিয়ে দিয়েছিল মুক্তির অগ্নিশিখা। সেই ডাকে সাড়া দিয়ে এ দেশের সাহসী সন্তানেরা অন্যায়ের বিরুদ্ধে বুক চিতিয়ে লড়েছে, অদম্য ইচ্ছাশক্তি ও আত্মত্যাগের মাধ্যমে ছিনিয়ে এনেছে আমাদের প্রিয় স্বাধীনতা। নয় মাসের রক্তক্ষয়ী সংগ্রাম, অসংখ্য ত্যাগ, আর লাখো শহীদের আত্মদানের বিনিময়ে অর্জিত হয়েছে এই লাল-সবুজের পতাকা। এই স্বাধীনতা আমাদের অহংকার, আমাদের পরিচয়।

মহান এই দিনে আমরা গভীর শ্রদ্ধা ও ভালোবাসার সাথে স্মরণ করি সকল বীর শহীদ ও মুক্তিযোদ্ধাদের, যাদের ত্যাগের বিনিময়ে আমরা পেয়েছি একটি স্বাধীন, সার্বভৌম বাংলাদেশ। আজকের এই মহান দিনে আমরা নতুন করে অঙ্গীকার করি—দেশপ্রেম, সততা ও দায়িত্ববোধ নিয়ে গড়ে তুলবো একটি সুন্দর, সমৃদ্ধ বাংলাদেশ।

Eid Mubarak🌙
Taqabbalallahu minna wa minkum

Eid ul-Fitr is one of the most religious festivals of Islam, celebrated as an important occasion of joy, gratitude, and spiritual purification for Muslims after a month-long period of fasting during Ramadan. In the holy Al-Qur'an, it is stated that the purpose of fasting is to attain taqwa: God-consciousness and to develop a sense of gratitude toward Allah.

In light of Surah Al-Baqarah (verse:185), Allah says,“Complete the prescribed number of days, and proclaim the greatness of Allah for having guided you, and be grateful.”
Therefore, Eid is not merely a day of celebration, but a manifestation of the success of self-restraint and spiritual development.

The importance of Eid ul-Fitr is also emphasized in Hadith. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, “Every nation has its festival, and this is our festival.” Through this, Eid represents the distinct religious identity of the Muslim Ummah. For those who fast, Eid is a special moment of joy, as it symbolizes the completion of a month of devotion. At the same time, Eid al-Fitr is a shining example of social equality, brotherhood, and compassion. By giving Zakat al-Fitr before Eid, the poor and the needy are also given the opportunity to share in the joy of the occasion. As a result, the gap between the rich and the poor is reduced, and mutual love and harmony in society are strengthened.

On this joyous occasion of Eid,

Shab-e-Qadr (Laylat Al-Qadr) is an immensely blessed night in Islam. In the Holy Qur’an, in Surah Al-Qadr (Chapter 97), it is mentioned that this night is better than a thousand months in the sight of Allah. On this night, the Qur’an was revealed, and it is a night when the reward for good deeds is greatly multiplied. In a hadith, Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, "Seek Laylatul Qadr in the odd nights of the last ten nights of Ramadan." This encourages special worship on the 21st, 23rd, 25th, 27th, and 29th nights of Ramadan. By offering prayers, making du’a, reciting the Qur’an, and repenting on this night, a Muslim can attain immense blessings and forgiveness from Allah. Shab-e-Qadr offers a unique opportunity for spiritual growth, purification from sins, and the multiplication of good deeds in a person’s life.

On this holy night, Chittagong University School Of Debate warmly extends our prayers for all that Allah may grant all of us the opportunity to witness and benefit from this blessed night, forgive our sins, bless our families and communities, and fill our lives with peace, guidance, and righteousness.

ইফতারের পসরায় কে জিতে নিবে শ্রেষ্ঠত্বের মুকুট??

ইপসা নিবেদিত "৩য় সিইউএসএডি জাতীয় বিতর্ক উৎসব" আয়োজিত হয় গত ৬ ও ৭ ফেব্রুয়ারি ২০২৬ খ্রিষ্টাব্দ, চট্টগ্রাম বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় প্রাঙ্গনে। " ভাঙ্গো রুদ্ধো চিন্তার বেষ্টনী" এই প্রেরণাদায়ী স্লোগানকে ধারণ করে সামাজিক উন্নয়ন সংস্থা ইপসা(Young Power in Social Action-YPSA) আর সেইভ দ্যা চিলড্রেনের সহযোগিতায় ও "জার্মান ফেডারেল ফরেইন অফিস" এর অর্থায়নে এই বিতর্ক প্রতিযোগিতা অনুষ্ঠিত হয়।

উৎসবের দুইদিন চট্টগ্রাম বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় প্রাঙ্গন প্রাণবন্ত হয়ে উঠে আন্তঃবিশ্ববিদ্যালয় ও আন্তঃস্কুল/কলেজ পর্যায়ের এশিয়ার পার্লামেন্টারি বিতর্ক প্রতিযোগিতায়। সমাপনী উৎসবের প্রধান অতিথি হিসেবে ৭ ফেব্রুয়ারি উপস্থিত ছিলেন চট্টগ্রাম বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের মাননীয় উপাচার্য ড. মুহাম্মদ ইয়াহিয়া আখতার।এছাড়া বিশেষ অতিথি হিসেবে উপস্থিত ছিলেন ড. ফুয়াদ হাসান, প্রফেসর, মার্কেটিং ডিপার্টমেন্ট, চট্টগ্রাম বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় ;মো.মাহবুবুর রহমান, প্রভাষক, লোক প্রশাসন বিভাগ, চট্টগ্রাম বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় এবং সাইফুদ্দিন মুন্না, সভাপতি, বাংলাদেশ ডিবেট ফেডারেশন।
অনুষ্ঠানের সম্মানিত অতিথি এবং উপদেষ্টা হিসেবে উপস্থিত ছিলেন সিইউএসডি-এর মডারেটর প্রফেসর ড. তুনাজ্জিনা সুলতানা,প্রফেসর, মার্কেটিং ডিপার্টমেন্ট, চট্টগ্রাম বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়। অনুষ্ঠানে আরোও উপস্থিত ছিলেন এস.এম.শাহরিয়ার আলম, প্রজেক্ট অফিসার(মিল), ইপসা (Young Power in Social Action – YPSA)।

এই আয়োজনে অংশীদার হিসেবে ছিল
এমবিএ অ্যাসোসিয়েশন অব ইউনিভার্সিটি অব চিটাগাং (MAUC), বৃদ্ধি (Briddhi Financial Technologies), বিজক্লাব (BizClub) ও এইমস এডুকেশন (AIMS Education)। লিগ্যাল পার্টনার হিসেবে ছিল ট্যাক্স সলিসিটর (Tax Solicitor)। রিফ্রেশমেন্ট ও ব্র্যান্ড পার্টনার হিসেবে সহযোগিতা করছিল স্টারশিপ ম্যাঙ্গো ফ্রুট ড্রিংক, আমা (AMA) অথেন্টিক ব্রাজিলিয়ান কফি ও কুড়মুড়ে (Kurmure), পাশাপাশি লজিস্টিক সাপোর্ট প্রদান করছিল ইকো ভ্যালি বিডি (Eco Valley BD)।

অমর একুশে ফেব্রুয়ারি-
বাঙালির আত্মপরিচয়, শৌর্য এবং মহান আত্মত্যাগের এক প্রতীক। সকল ভাষা শহীদের স্মৃতির প্রতি জানাই গভীর শ্রদ্ধা ও বিনম্র প্রণতি।
১৯৫২ সালের এই গৌরবোজ্জ্বল ও শোকাতুর দিনে মাতৃভাষা বাংলার রাষ্ট্রীয় মর্যাদাপ্রাপ্তির দাবিতে রাজপথে অকাতরে প্রাণ বিসর্জন দেন সালাম, বরকত, রফিক, জব্বারসহ নাম না জানা অসংখ্য অকুতোভয় ভাষাসৈনিক। তাঁদের সেই অনন্য আত্মদানের বিনিময়েই আজ আমরা লাভ করেছি নিজ ভাষা বাংলায় কথা বলার অধিকার।
"আমার ভাইয়ের রক্তে রাঙানো একুশে ফেব্রুয়ারি আমি কি ভুলিতে পারি?" এ পঙক্তি আমাদের হৃদয়ের স্পন্দনে মিশে আছে যা আমাদের স্মরণ করিয়ে দেয় প্রতিটা শহীদের রক্তবিন্দু ছিল আমাদের অধিকার আদায়ের সোপান।
একুশে ফেব্রুয়ারি কেবল শোকের কোনো স্মারক নয়; বরং এটি আমাদের অধিকারচেতনা, সাংস্কৃতিক স্বাতন্ত্র্য এবং জাতীয় আত্মমর্যাদার এক আলোকবর্তিকা।

Ramadan is a sacred month of divine mercy, forgiveness, and spiritual elevation, ordained to strengthen taqwa (God-consciousness) within the hearts of believers. Through fasting, prayer, recitation of the Holy Qur’an, and acts of charity, this blessed period invites us to purify our intentions, discipline our desires, and draw closer to Allah . The quiet devotion of Suhoor and the collective gratitude of Iftar remind us of the profound blessings bestowed upon us and our shared responsibility toward those in need.

This holy month nurtures patience, humility, and compassion, enabling us to internalize the struggles of the less fortunate and renew our commitment to justice, service, and brotherhood. It is a time to seek forgiveness, strengthen faith, and cultivate hearts aligned with righteousness and mercy.

The Chittagong University School Of Debate humbly extends its heartfelt prayers to you and your family for a Ramadan filled with divine blessings, safety, peace, and the acceptance of all righteous deeds.
