Rotaract is a Rotary-sponsored service club for young men and women ages 18 to 30. The programme was officially inaugurated in 1968 with the first Rotaract Club formed at the University of North Carolina, sponsored by the Rotary Club of North Charlotte, North Carolina, USA. Today, there are more than 7,600 Rotaract Clubs in more than 158 countries, with an estimated membership of more than 176,000
Rotaractors. All Rotaract efforts begin at the local grassroots level and Rotaract Clubs have access to many of the resources of Rotary International and The Rotary Foundation. Rotaract gives all its members an opportunity to work together in active service projects in the community. Why Join Rotaract? You will not only augment your knowledge and skills, but also address the physical and social needs of your community while promoting international understanding and peace through a framework of friendship and service. Rotaract projects are not all work. Fellowship is an important element, too. You will meet with people who share the same goal, establish close bonds of friendship, acquire leadership skills, and gain satisfaction of doing your bit for society. Rotaract Club Goals
