On the 5th March 2023, a massive and devastating fire broke out in Kutupalong Balukhali refugee camp in Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh.
Flames were blazing for approximately 3 hours in camp 11, until the Rohingya refugee Safety Unit Volunteers trained in firefighting, local fire fighters and local authorities managed to contain the fire, later in the afternoon.
The densely packed refugee camps in Cox’s Bazaar, Bangladesh, are home to more than 1 million Rohingya refugees.
⚠ Over 12,000 Refugees Displaced
⚠ 2, 000 Homes have been destroyed
⚠ More than 75,500 injured.
