📚 Adult Accelerated Learning (AAL) Project | Women Monitors Training.

On 16 and 17 September 2026, a two-day Monitor Training was successfully completed for selected Women Volunteers under the project “Adaptation and Co-Creation of Adult Accelerated Learning (AAL), Integrating Literacy and Livelihood Skills Development for Rohingya Refugee Youth in Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh” at Kutupalong Rohingya Camp 4 and Camp 1 East.

The training focused on strengthening the capacity of Women Monitors in monitoring learning activities, conducting classroom observations, tracking learner participation and progress, and maintaining proper documentation and reporting.

One of the key and innovative components of this initiative is Technology-Assisted Self-Learning.
Rather than relying entirely on teacher-led classroom instruction, the project is introducing a more flexible and learner-centred approach through the use of tablets and specially designed learning apps.

With the support of these digital tools, learners can access learning materials, practise literacy skills, and engage with livelihood-related learning content through the apps. This approach allows learners to continue their learning process more independently, including in situations where a teacher may not be directly present.

At the same time, the trained Women Monitors will observe how learners are engaging with the digital learning process, how they are using the apps, their participation and progress, and will document key observations to support the project team in understanding and improving the learning experience.

💡 By bringing together Technology, Self-Learning and Community-Based Monitoring, the project aims to create a more flexible, accessible and learner-centred learning environment for Rohingya learners.

Through this two-day training, the Women Volunteers have been equipped not only to serve as monitors, but also to provide important community-based learning support by observing and documenting learners’ engagement and progress.

My sincere thanks and appreciation to the Team, and especially to Fariya Apa, for conducting and facilitating the training. Your valuable time, support, and dedicated efforts are truly appreciated and have been very meaningful to us.
