Under the guidance and inspiration of the Refugee Relief and Repatriation Commissioner (RRRC), a Ramadan Cultural & Counselling Programme was organised in the FDMN camp with the support of Türkiye Diyanet Vakfı.
Camp residents participated enthusiastically throughout the programme. Today marked the final day, where winners were selected and prizes distributed in the presence of Mohammed Mizanur Rahman, RRRC. Özgür Özyürek, Religious Affairs Coordinator, Embassy of Turkey in Dhaka, was also present.
The RRRC Office sincerely thanks Türkiye Diyanet Vakfı for their valuable support in organizing this meaningful initiative.

Today, the Deputy Secretary General of the Turkish Red Crescent, Mr. Şükrü Can, visited the RRRC Office along with his delegation.
During the visit, discussions were held on the ongoing humanitarian response for the Rohingya population in Cox’s Bazar and the continued collaboration between the RRRC and the Turkish Red Crescent. The delegation also exchanged views on strengthening support for refugees and host communities, as well as enhancing coordination in relief and development initiatives.
The RRRC appreciates the longstanding humanitarian commitment of the Turkish Red Crescent and looks forward to further strengthening cooperation in addressing the needs of the displaced population.

A few days ago, the RRRC visited the Rohingya Heritage Centre at Camp 06—an initiative thoughtfully undertaken by Mr. Gazi Shariful Hasan, Camp-in-Charge of Camp 06. The Centre serves as a reflective space, inviting the Rohingya community to revisit its collective memory and cultural legacy with dignity and introspection.
This initiative represents a commendable effort to preserve historical narratives and document lived experiences, fostering awareness among present and future generations. By safeguarding narratives of resilience and endurance, the Heritage Centre contributes to a deeper and more nuanced understanding of the community’s identity and heritage.
Such endeavors underscore the salience of memory, cultural continuity, and informed dialogue, while reaffirming our shared commitment to humanitarian principles, respect, and peaceful coexistence.

The Refugee Relief and Repatriation Commissioner (RRRC), Government of Bangladesh, had the profound honor of welcoming a distinguished delegation led by Necmeddin Bilal Erdoğan, son of H.E. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan of the Republic of Türkiye, to the Rohingya refugee camps today.
In a deeply symbolic and magnanimous gesture, the delegation chose to observe the first Iftar of Ramadan with the Rohingya refugees—an enduring Turkish tradition usually reserved for family. Through this profoundly humanitarian act, they conveyed a resonant and unequivocal message to the global community: the Rohingya people are not alone but are embraced as part of a broader human family. This benevolent initiative, undertaken despite prevailing global economic adversities, epitomizes Türkiye’s unwavering solidarity, altruism, and moral stewardship toward displaced populations.
The delegation was further enriched by the presence of world-renowned football icon Mesut Özil, who graciously distributed trophies among the champions and participants of the Rohingya Football Tournament, fostering hope, dignity, and camaraderie among the refugee youth.
Other eminent members of the delegation included His Excellency Ramis Şen, Ambassador of Türkiye to Bangladesh; Abdullah Eren, President of Turkish Cooperation; and Haluk Kalyoncu, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Kalyon Energy.
This historic visit constitutes an indelible milestone in the lives of the Rohingya refugees and stands as a laudable exemplar of compassion, fraternity, and international responsibility. Today, the Rohingya Football Tournament Final was successfully held at Camp–4, marking a memorable conclusion to a highly competitive sporting event. The match was intensely contested, and with neither side able to score during regulation time, the final was decided by a dramatic tie-breaker. In a thrilling shootout, the champions secured victory by a narrow 5–4 margin.
The overwhelming presence of spectators transformed the final into a truly vibrant and electrifying occasion, reflecting the deep enthusiasm and unity within the camp community.
The event was honored by the presence of RRRC Mohammed Mizanur Rahman, DIG APBN Mr. Proloy, along with numerous government and non-government officials, as well as a large number of Rohingya spectators.
The RRRC extends its profound gratitude to all concerned individuals and organizations for their unwavering commitment, cooperation, and tireless efforts, which were instrumental in making this tournament a remarkable success.

Today, a view exchange meeting was held among representatives of the UN, INGOs, NGOs, CiCs, ACiCs, and RRRC officials focusing on Rohingya humanitarian activities.
The meeting was graced by Mr. Md. Saidur Rahman Khan, Secretary, MoDMR, as the Chief Guest, and presided over by Mr. Mohammed Mizanur Rahman, Refugee Relief and Repatriation Commissioner, Cox’s Bazar.
Productive discussions were held on coordination, challenges, and future directions of humanitarian support for the Rohingya community.

Today, Mr. Md. Saidur Rahman Khan, Secretary of the Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief (MoDMR), along with Mr. Mohammed Mizanur Rahman, Refugee Relief and Repatriation Commissioner (RRRC), visited the Rohingya camp to observe ongoing activities and assess the current situation on the ground.
The Rohingya camps continue to provide shelter and essential humanitarian assistance to forcibly displaced Rohingya populations, including food, healthcare, education, and protection services. During the visit, the officials reviewed the coordination of relief efforts, camp management activities, and the overall living conditions of the refugees, reaffirming the government’s commitment to ensuring safety, dignity, and humanitarian support for the Rohingya community.

Dr. Khalilur Rahman, Honorable National Security Adviser and High Representative on Rohingya Issues and Priority Affairs, visited the Rohingya camps in Cox’s Bazar today. During his visit, he attended and enjoyed a match of the ongoing Rohingya Football Tournament, which has been organized to promote youth engagement, social cohesion, and positive community interaction within the camps.
Addressing the assembled spectators, Dr. Rahman delivered an inspiring and motivational speech. He underscored the importance of unity, discipline, and peaceful coexistence among the Rohingya community, and encouraged the youth to channel their energy into constructive and sporting activities. He also reiterated his optimism regarding a peaceful and dignified repatriation of the Rohingya population to their homeland, emphasizing sustained dialogue and international cooperation.
The visit and interaction were warmly received by the camp residents and stakeholders, reflecting continued commitment at the highest level of the Government of Bangladesh toward the welfare, stability, and future prospects of the Forcibly Displaced Myanmar Nationals.

The Rohingya Center at Camp 10 was formally inaugurated, marking a constructive step toward enhancing structured community engagement and coordinated service delivery, in support of preparedness for the safe, voluntary, and dignified repatriation of Rohingya refugees to Myanmar.
The center will serve as a platform for community-based activities, learning, coordination, and access to essential services, contributing to dignity, social cohesion, and constructive participation within the camp. This initiative reflects the continued commitment of the Government of Bangladesh, in collaboration with humanitarian partners, to advancing organized and sustainable interventions aligned with durable solutions.
The successful inauguration was made possible through the cooperation and collective efforts of relevant authorities and partners, whose continued support is sincerely appreciated.

⚽ *Rohingya Football League 2025–26 | Inauguration Ceremony* ⚽
The Office of the Refugee Relief and Repatriation Commissioner (RRRC) is pleased to announce that the Inauguration Ceremony of the Rohingya Football League 2025–26 was successfully held today at the Football Field, Camp 4, Ukhiya, Cox’s Bazar.
This initiative has been launched with the objective of *fostering sportsmanship, teamwork, discipline* , and *constructive engagement among Rohingya youth* , thereby promoting physical well-being and social cohesion within the community.
The ceremony was graced by the presence of Mr. *Mohammed Mizanur Rahman, Additional Secretary and Honorable Refugee Relief and Repatriation Commissioner (RRRC)* , as the Chief Guest, whose encouragement and guidance added significant value to the occasion.
The successful inauguration of the league was made possible through the commendable cooperation and collaborative support of several esteemed national and international organizations, including TIKA, Al Khair Foundation UK, ActionAid, BRAC, Muslim Hands, Caritas, GK, Mukti Cox’s Bazar, GUK, Coast Foundation, NGO Forum for Public Health, BDRCS, HMBD, MSI, CODEC, and YPSA. Their collective commitment and partnership have played a pivotal role in fostering youth development and community engagement through sports.
