Heat is taking a growing toll on Bangladesh’s economy. In 2024 alone, heat-related productivity losses are estimated at US$1.3-1.8 billion, which is equivalent to 0.3-0.4% of the country’s GDP.

🌡️ As temperatures rise above 37°C, these losses increase sharply, affecting workers, businesses, and economic growth.
