Switzerland ranks as one of the least polluted countries in the world, and it did not get there by chance. 🌿 The Federal Clean Air Ordinance, in force since 1986, sets strict limits on emissions from transport, agriculture, and industry, and air quality is continuously monitored across 16 national stations. Switzerland holds 6% of Europe's freshwater reserves and delivers tap water so clean that 40% of it requires no treatment before reaching consumers, making environmental protection not just a national aspiration but a legal standard that has been built and enforced for decades.

Advances in satellite technology are transforming how we monitor the atmosphere and anticipate extreme weather events. With the European Space Agency’s MTG satellite and Swiss-developed precision mechanisms by CSEM, scientists can observe atmospheric changes with greater accuracy and stability.⛈🌪
These improvements support earlier warnings and more effective responses to extreme weather.

Perched on its hill, the Basilica of Notre-Dame de Valère, in Valais 🇨🇭, houses an exceptional treasure: one of the oldest playable organs in the world.
Built in the 1430s, its maker remains unknown to this day. When fire struck the city of Sion, the organ came close to being lost forever, saved only by the direction of the wind.
Carefully restored over the years, it now captivates audiences worldwide. Since 1969, the Valère International Organ Festival has drawn organists from every corner of the globe. 🌍
