Uttara University YES Group has prepared a plan of activities to be implemented around the year in 2026.

UU YES members made this plan with the guidance of two honorable Advisers Dr. Dulali Rani Saha Ma'am and Dr. Chand Ali sir in their first meeting in 2026. The meeting was organized at the university campus on 20 January 2026 moderated by the Team Leader Jannatul Ferdouse Bisma!

Dr. Dulali Rani Saha Ma'am encouraged the young corruption fighters to uphold ethics at their daily life while Dr. Chand Ali emphasized to engage more students in the social movement!

A total of 21 esteemed members from the YES group actively participated the discuss to prepare the activity plan. They happily received the new year souvenirs from TIB!

Deputy Team Leader Minhazul Islam Naeem, former Deputy Team Leader Md Sawon and vibrant member Sazid Ahmed Labib extended their tremendous efforts to organize the event successfully.

Meeting Notice

Uttara University YES Group is going to organize its first Monthly Coordination Meeting in 2026 to be held on 20 January 2026. A set of draft agenda has been prepared to be discussed in that meeting. All the current members are requested to attend the meeting on time. See you there.

উত্তরা ইউনিভার্সিটিতে ২৬ নভেম্বর ২০২৫ ইয়ুথ এনগেজমেন্ট এন্ড সাপোর্ট (ইয়েস) গ্রুপের উদ্যোগে দুর্নীতিবিরোধী কার্টুন প্রদর্শনী, কুইজ প্রতিযোগিতা এবং গেমস অনুষ্ঠিত হয়। সকাল ১০টা থেকে দুপুর ২টা পর্যন্ত অনুষ্ঠিত এই আয়োজনে উত্তরা ইউনিভার্সিটির শিক্ষার্থীবৃন্দ অংশগ্রহণ করে দুর্নীতিবিরোধী কার্টুন প্রদর্শনী উপভোগ করেন এবং বিভিন্ন প্রতিযোগিতায় বিজয়ী হয়ে উচ্ছাস প্রকাশ করেন। প্রধান অতিথি হিসেবে উপস্থিত থেকে বিজয়ীদের মাঝে পুরস্কার বিতরণ করেন উত্তরা ইউনিভার্সিটি ইয়েস গ্রুপের সম্মানিত উপদেষ্টা ড. চাঁদ আলী। উত্তরা ইউনিভার্সিটির অফিস অব স্টুডেন্ট অ্যাফেয়ার্স এর সম্মানিত পরিচালক এবং ইংরেজি বিভাগের সম্মানিত সভাপতি ড. শাহ আহমেদ স্যার কার্টুন প্রদর্শনী পরিদর্শন করেন। উত্তরা ইউনিভার্সিটি ইয়েস গ্রুপের দলনেতা, সহ-দলনেতা এবং সদস্যবৃন্দ নিরলস পরিশ্রম করে এই আয়োজন সার্থক করে তোলে।

Uttara University YES Members Sensitized on RTI Act and Elect New Leadership

Members of the Youth Engagement and Support (YES) Group of Uttara University have been encouraged to take an active role in the anti-corruption movement through an orientation on the Right to Information (RTI) Act, 2009, and the Anti-Corruption Social Movement. The event, held on 22 October 2025 at the university’s Turag campus in Dhaka, aimed to raise awareness among young citizens about their right to access information and how this can be used to promote transparency and accountability in public institutions.

In his inaugural remarks, Chand Ali, Adviser of the UU YES Group, emphasized that the RTI Act empowers every citizen to request and obtain information from government and semi-government bodies. He noted that informed and proactive citizens play a vital role in preventing corruption and promoting good governance.

During the session, YES members pledged to uphold integrity and work toward a corruption-free society. Participants also received awareness materials—such as leaflets and stickers on the RTI Act—to help spread understanding and encourage its practical use. Islam, Deputy Coordinator (Civic Engagement) of Transparency International Bangladesh (TIB), conducted the session and urged students to apply their knowledge of the RTI Act by seeking information responsibly, questioning irregularities, and fostering transparency in their communities.

Following the orientation, the UU YES Group elected new leadership. Jannatul Ferdouse Bisma was elected as Team Leader, while Alam Runi and Islam Neem were elected as Deputy Team Leaders. The group also organized a farewell for the outgoing Team Leader, Taief Mollik, in recognition of his contributions.
