The 1st Design Division is the earliest one formed in HNRBI. It is a comprehensive design and consulting division engaged in highway engineering, mainly for the survey, design and planning consulting of expressways and national and provincial trunk highways. At present, there are more than 80 professional and technical personnel in the division, including 15 senior and above engineers and 40 intermediate engineers.
In recent years, it has undertaken the survey and design work of many provincial key projects, such as "Reconstruction and Expansion of Zhengzhou Airport Expressway ", "Yaoshan-Luanchuan Expressway", "Luanchuan-Lushi Expressway", "Zhoukou-Nanyang Expressway", "Fengqiu-Yuanyang Expressway", "Anyang Luoshan Expressway", with rich design experience and advanced technologies. They have completed survey and design for highway more than 10,000 kilometers, for expressways more than 5,000 kilometers including sections of the Beijing-HongKong-Macao Expressway and Lianyungang-Khorgos Expressway in Henan Province;Additionally more than 1,000 kilometers of expressway reconstruction and expansion projects have been completed, of which the Luoyang Sanmenxia (provincial boundary) section of the Lianyungang-Khorgos is the first expressway reconstruction and expansion project in mountainous and hilly areas in China.
At the same time, they are continuously improving their design level and actively exploring the overseas market. It has accumulated rich overseas engineering experience through China-aided projects such as Buenos Aires Road Pavement in Bolivia, Roseau-Portsmouth road repair project in Dominic, reconstruction of Congested Section of Kathmandu Inner Ring Road in Nepal, and created a good opportunity to enhance the influence of HNRBI brand

Reconstruction and Expansion of Zhumadian-Xinyang (Henan-Hubei Boundary) Section of Beijing-Hong Kong-Macao Expressway (2015)

　　The reconstruction and expansion of Zhumadian-Xinyang (Henan-Hubei boundary) section of Beijing-Hong Kong-Macao expressway is an important part of the national expressway network and the main framework of Henan highway network, with a total length of 136.879km.

　　In December 2015, the reconstruction and expansion was completed and the two-way eight-lane traffic was realized.

　　Henan Provincial Communications Planning & Design Institute Co., Ltd. has undertaken the tasks of feasibility study, preliminary design and construction drawing designs, and has successively won the first prize of 2016 Henan excellent survey and design innovation award and the second prize of 2016 highway transportation excellent design award.

　　The design of "Reconstruction and Extension of Zhumadian-Xinyang (Henan-Hubei Boundary) Section of Beijing-Hong Kong-Macao Expressway" firmly grasped the characteristics of the expressway reconstruction and extension. On the basis of systematic detection and safety evaluation of the old road, the design principles of safety, social service, overall coordination, respect for regional characteristics and naturalness are clarified, and the waste materials of the old road were fully utilized to reduce resource consumption and environmental pollution. The project cost was well controlled and a model of "Green transportation, ecological corridor and intelligent highway" was set up.

Dnaleshari River Highway Bridge in Bangladesh

The bridge ,with a length of 1,521m and a width of 10m， the third major bridge in Bangladesh, is located in Munshiganj. Dnaleshari River Highway Bridge, the superstructure of main bridge adopts variable cross-section prestressed continuous box-girder with a span of 57m+5*100m+57m. The substructure of approach bridge, with 15 aperture of both sides, adopts 30m assembly partial prestressed concrete simply Supported-Continuous composite Beams box-girder. It has been completed in December 2007.

Gabkhan Highway Bridge in Bangladesh

The location of the bridge is on No.10 National Road across the Gabkhan Canal. It is 917.98m long in total and 9.6m wide, with a design speed of 65km/h and the investment of 96.81million Yuan. The main bridge of Gabkhan Highway Bridge adopts 67+116+67m prestressed concrete continuous steel structure, as well as the approach bridge uses prestressed concrete prefabricate hollow slab girder with a span of 30m. The bridge has been completed in November 2001

Investigation Group of The China-aided 8th Bangladesh-China Friendship Bridge arrived in Bangladesh

On November 10, investigation group of The China-aided 8th Bangladesh-China Friendship Bridge arrived in Bangladesh. Previously, the group made the report to Foreign Aid Division of Commerce Ministry for technical plans and technical standards as well as endorsed by leadership of Foreign Aid Division.
The China-aided 8th Bangladesh-China Friendship Bridge is the eighth bridge which is investigated and designed by our company. All the prior seven bridges were designed by our company. This study is our first task after carrying out the new consulting list by Foreign Aid Division of Commerce Ministry. Company leaderships required the group to practice team work and fight for completing the task successfully.

Buenos Aires Avenue is located in the downtown of La Paz, the capital of Bolivia.

It is a south-north throughout arterial road in this area with a total length of 4124 m, a design speed of 40km/h, and the investment of 22 million. The along radiating area of the avenue is the civilian region in La Paz so that it is significant for the improvement of resident living circumstances and traveling conditions to implement this project.

Mahananda Highway Bridge in Bangladesh

The location of this bridge is in Mahananda, with a length of 448.3 m and a width of 9.92 m. Mahananda highway bridge has 11 holes, and the approach road from south to north and turnout is 635.89 m long in total, with a design speed of 65km/h and the investment of 17.79 million Yuan. The bridge has been completed in April 1993, which adopts prestressed concrete simply beam.
