The French Ambassador, Mr. Jean-Marc Séré-Charlet, visited the American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB), accompanied by the Embassy’s Cultural Attaché, Mr. Baptiste Lebret, and the Campus France Bangladesh team. 🇫🇷 🤝 🇧🇩
A key highlight of the visit was an informative session conducted by Syeda Naasiba Hossain from Campus France Bangladesh, focusing on higher education opportunities in France. The session provided a comprehensive overview of the French education system, emphasizing its accessibility and global appeal. It highlighted benefits such as affordable tuition fees, state-subsidized living costs, a wide range of academic programmes taught in English, opportunities for international students to work part-time (up to 20 hours per week), and the availability of a one-year post-study work visa.
The Ambassador underscored France’s commitment to strengthening international academic collaboration and encouraged students to consider France as a destination for higher education, citing its rich academic environment, cultural diversity, and high-quality yet affordable education. The Ambassador’s visit to a leading private university reflects the strengthening educational ties between Bangladesh and France and reaffirms France’s support for Bangladeshi students in pursuing internationally recognized higher education abroad.
