Objective of the project: To contribute to reduce unintended pregnancies, HIV transmission and HIV-related maternal mortality amongst young people affected by HIV (aged 10-24) by increasing health-seeking behaviours and uptake of quality integrated maternal health, family planning and HIV information, services and commodities amongst young female sex workers (Street, Hotel and Residence based) affected by HIV and uphold their sexual and reproductive rights in 8 Districts under Khulna Division and Khulna South City Corporation in Bangladesh. Actual services provided by the implementing organization:
These interventions and approaches have been reaching out 75000 young female sex workers (Street, Hotel and Residence based) with education, empowerment, capacity building and referral services for advance sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) and HIV as wee as basic literacy education through linking up with existing programs. The interventions follow the principle of not duplicating existing services but topping up existing services and filling in the gaps in existing service delivery.
