Sundaram is incredibly grateful to their partners, Birds of Paradise and the British Council Bangladesh, for their generous CTC grant, which made our recent project possible.
We also extend a warm thank you to everyone who attended our inclusive theatre production, TOGETHER WE STAND (একসাথে চলি একসাথে বাচিঁ) at the Dr. Neelima Ibrahim Auditorium on June 12, 2026. Your support and enthusiasm made the event a truly meaningful experience.
The production is the culmination of The Space Between Us: Theatre, Access, and Exchange, a collaborative project supported through the British Council's Connections Through Culture (CTC) programme. Bringing together disabled and non-disabled artists from Bangladesh and the UK, the project explores how accessibility can be embedded into theatre-making processes, creative collaboration, and audience engagement.
The collaboration provided a unique opportunity for artists from Bangladesh and the UK to exchange knowledge and experiences, reflecting a shared commitment to creating more inclusive cultural spaces. Through this process, participants developed new approaches to storytelling, performance-making, and collaboration that place accessibility at the centre of artistic creation.
As the final public outcome of The Space Between Us, TOGETHER WE STAND celebrates the creativity, talent, and leadership of artists working to reimagine what accessible and inclusive theatre can look like in Bangladesh and beyond.
এই প্রযোজনাটি ব্রিটিশ কাউন্সিলের ‘কানেকশনস থ্রু কালচার’ (CTC) কর্মসূচির মাধ্যমে সমর্থিত একটি যৌথ প্রকল্প ‘The Space Between Us: Theatre, Access and Exchange’-এর চূড়ান্ত রূপ।
‘The Space Between Us: Theatre, Access and Exchange’-এর চূড়ান্ত প্রদর্শনী হিসেবে TOGETHER WE STAND (একসাথে চলি, একসাথে বাচিঁ) বাংলাদেশ ও এর বাইরে প্রবেশগম্য ও অন্তর্ভুক্তিমূলক থিয়েটার কেমন হতে পারে, তা নতুন করে কল্পনা করতে উপস্থিত নাট্যশিল্পীদের সৃজনশীলতা, প্রতিভা এবং নেতৃত্বকে উদযাপন করে।
