Sri Lanka Welcomes One Million Tourists So Far in 2026 🇱🇰

Sri Lanka has reached a major milestone by welcoming over one million international tourists before the end of May 2026. This is the second year in a row that the country has crossed the one-million mark within the first five months of the year.

This steady growth follows a highly successful year in 2025, proving that Sri Lanka remains a popular choice for travelers worldwide.

India is currently the top country sending tourists to Sri Lanka, with more than 200,000 visitors so far this year. The other leading markets in the top five include the United Kingdom, Russia, China, and Germany.

With strong arrival numbers from both Asia and Europe, Sri Lanka’s tourism industry is on track for another successful year.
