We are delighted to share that a team from the Dhaka University Moot Court Society (DUMCS) proudly represented Bangladesh at the 30th Annual Stetson International Environmental Moot Court Competition, held in Florida, USA. The international rounds and finals took place in person at the prestigious Stetson University College of Law from April 15–18, 2026, bringing together top law students from around the world to compete in one of the most renowned environmental moot court competitions.
The team, comprised of Sharmista Banik, Rezoan Asraf, and Md. Gazee Muzeeru, demonstrated exceptional skill, dedication, and advocacy throughout the competition. We are especially proud to announce that Rezoan Asraf was awarded the 10th Best Oralist Award in the international rounds- an extraordinary achievement that reflects the team’s hard work and excellence on a global stage.
This remarkable journey would not have been possible without the invaluable support and encouragement of Barrister Md Ruhul Quddus Kazal, attorney General of Bangladesh; Dhaka Bank; Bangladesh Law Association; Advocate Mohammad Mahbubur Rahman Khan; Advocate Abdul Halim @ Mir Halim; Dr. Muhammad Ekramul Haque, Dean, Faculty of Law, University of Dhaka; Dr. Mohammad Towhidul Islam, Chairman, Department of Law, University of Dhaka; Hearth Bangladesh; and Dr. Farzana Akhter (Coach), Associate Professor, Department of law; whose unwavering support enabled the team to compete on this global platform.

Dhaka University Moot Court Society (DUMCS) proudly announces the landmark achievement on the international legal stage.
Being the runner up of the Bangladesh Qualifying Rounds, the team comprising Rezwan Ahmed Refat, Anika Tahsina, and Jarin Anjum Tasnim participated in the global rounds of the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition 2026 in a hybrid mode.
In the recently released Final Memorial result, the team achieved a distinguished ranking, 36th among 164 competing teams in their Respondent Memorial.
This accomplishment placed the University of Dhaka ahead of numerous internationally renowned law schools across Asia, Europe, and North America, underscoring its stature as a distinguished institution of excellence in global legal education.
The Faculty of Law congratulates the team for their dedication and distinction in representing Bangladesh.

We are pleased to inform you that the official Facts of the 1st Intra-Year Moot Court Competition 2026 have now been released!
The official rules will be released tomorrow night, prior to the Online Mooting Workshop. In the meantime, we encourage you to continue your preparations actively WITHIN THE GROUPS ASSIGNED BY YOUR COURSE TEACHER.
Kindly note down any questions or points of clarification as you prepare, as these will be comprehensively addressed during the Online Mooting Workshop.

The Dhaka University Moot Court Society is proud to announce that a team comprising Sharmista Banik, Gazee Muzeeru, and Rezoan Asraf has emerged as the Champion of the Stetson International Environmental Moot Court Competition – 2nd Bangladesh Qualifying Rounds 2025–26. In addition to the team’s outstanding achievement, Rezoan Asraf was awarded the prestigious title of Best Mooter of the Final, in recognition of exceptional advocacy, legal acumen, and courtroom excellence.
We extend our heartfelt congratulations to the champions for bringing this prestigious honor to the University of Dhaka. We wish them every success in their future mooting endeavors and look forward to seeing them represent Bangladesh with distinction on the international stage.

The Dhaka University Moot Court Society (DUMCS) is delighted to announce that our team comprising Rezwan Ahmed Refat, Anika Tahsina and Jarin Anjum Tasnim from the 48th Batch has successfully become the Runners-up in the 10th Bangladesh Qualifying Rounds of the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition.
In an outstanding display of advocacy, the team achieved the highest score in the preliminary rounds, with Rezwan Ahmed Refat ranking as the 2nd Best Oralist and Anika Tahsina as the 3rd Best Oralist.
We congratulate them on qualifying for the International Rounds in Washington D.C., USA, and wish them the very best as they prepare to represent the country in the international rounds.

We are extremely delighted to have organized the 14th IYMCC 2026 for you all. We hope the competition was as enriching and enjoyable for you as it was for us.
We are attaching the tabulation with this post for your reference. While rankings matter, we would like to emphasize that every win—big or small—is important. Please do not feel disheartened if your result did not turn out as you had hoped. This is only the beginning of your mooting journey and, at the end of the day, just a competition.
