nt air quality monitoring, VU visible spectrophotometer for analyzing the water quality parameters, gaseous pollutants and 4 digit electrical balances for the gravimetric method of analysis for suspended particulate matter including PM2.5/10. GECL also has sensor type device for monitoring physical and chemical parameters in water and indoor & ambient air. GECL have started research and publication work with collaboration of the Department of Environmental Science, IUB, on air pollution, arsenic pollution and indoor hygiene assessments of different industries. GECL has been followed the environmental policy of the Department of Environment, the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, US-Environmental Protection Agency and WHO for ambient air quality, noise level and water quality. GECL has been also followed Occupational Safety Health Administration (OSHA) for indoor air quality. GECL has successfully introduced local/International technology based effluent treatment plant in Bangladesh. This technology is very much cost effective considering the chemical consumption, energy efficiency and other treatment plants.
