Hatiya (Bengali: হাতিয়া) is an island and also an Upazila of Noakhali District in the Division of Chittagong, Bangladesh. college,and three other college.
Hatiya is located at 22.3667°N 91.1250°E. It has 47970 units of house hold and total area 1508.23 km². The island has a small and beautiful island under its area, known as Nijhum Dwip. As of the 1991 Bangladesh census, Hatiya has a population of 295501. Males constitute are 50.73% of the population, and females 49.27%. This Upazila's 18+ population is 125512. Hatiya has an average literacy rate of
21% (7+ years), and the national average of 32.4% literate.[1]
