Opening of San Jose, PDI Slaughterhouse Operations
December 8, 2025

The Municipal Government of San Jose, Province of Dinagat Islands (PDI), informs the public that the San Jose Slaughterhouse will officially commence operations on December 8, 2025.

All residents, meat vendors, livestock owners, and related stakeholders are strongly advised to have all animals—both livestock and swine—properly slaughtered at the San Jose Slaughterhouse. This ensures that meat products undergo mandatory inspection, hygienic handling, and compliance with national food safety standards.

By using municipal slaughterhouse facility guarantees:

Clean, safe, and quality meat for the consuming public

Proper ante-mortem and post-mortem inspection

Prevention of food-borne diseases

Regulated and traceable meat supply within the municipality
