Following the devastating hailstorm that struck several villages in Sylhet last month, causing significant damage to homes and livelihoods, the CEO of Mosobbir Ali Foundation, Mr. M. A. Khalique, announced a special relief allocation for affected families.

After a thorough assessment conducted by the Foundation’s research team, 52 families were selected to receive assistance based on the extent of damage to their homes. A total of 72.5 bundles of high-quality corrugated iron sheets were distributed to help repair and rebuild their houses.

The distribution took place on [Date] under the Foundation’s “Special Allocation During Disaster” program. Beneficiaries came from several villages, including areas within Jalalabad Thana of Sylhet District.

Through this initiative, Mosobbir Ali Foundation aims to support vulnerable families in recovering from the disaster and enables them to celebrate Eid with greater security, dignity, and peace of mind.

A generous neighbour contributed 50% of the funding to support the construction of this home through the foundation. The CEO highlighted that, through collective effort and cooperation, their mission is to eliminate homelessness and replace unsafe, rundown housing within the community.

On 15 March 2026, the foundation proudly handed over its 36th home to a previously homeless family in Balaura village, under Jalalabad Police Station in Sylhet district. The handover ceremony was attended by foundation officials and other respected members of the community.

This project was made possible in large part by Belal Ahmed, a French resident originally from the village, who provided half of the total funding.

Most people in Bangladesh are poor and have no means of self-sufficiency. Therefore , every household is forced to use unhygienic toilets.Because they cannot afford to spend 40/42 thousand to build a hygienic toilet.

Seeing their use of this unhygienic toilet, the CEO of the foundation, M.A. Khaleq, added toilet facilities to the foundation, thereby ensuring hygienic toilets for these helpless people.

The last 2 toilets, (19 and 20 NO) were constructed and officially handed over on 20/11/25 in the presence of the foundation officials.
