Yesterday, the European Parliament voted to weaken rules on dangerous cancer-causing chemicals.

They’re giving you the freedom to choose between cheaper food and hygiene products… and your health. They say it’s realistic. “Good for business.”

But we don’t think you should have to choose between safety and affordability.

With these new rules, exposure to harmful toxins in your fruit, veg, toothpaste and suncream will continue. Even when chemicals are declared dangerous and banned, they can stay on the market for years after.

Corporate profits shouldn’t come at the cost of your health!

The EU is changing the rules on chemicals in our cosmetics, fertilisers and product labels, giving companies more time to phase out certain harmful ingredients in cosmetics and more chances to get exemptions to keep using them.

And guess who’s backing it? Conservative and far-right politicians. Apparently, it’s quite easy to go from blush blindness to political blindness.

Turns out, when it comes to corporate profits, they’re happy to look the other way.

Today in Strasbourg, workers and MEPs joined the trade unions demonstration with one message: EU Inc. is a threat to workers across Europe.

The Commission wants to allow corporations to bypass national labour rules to cut costs. We say NO to legalising social dumping.

This proposal needs to include better safeguard for workers. Because innovation must protect people, not exploit them.

Fix it, or sink it.

Europe is boiling over.

Working people, farmers, students, are taking to the streets in Italy, Belgium, France, Spain. The costs for food, rent, and heating are being raised while jobs are being cut.

People are angry, and they are right. Because 1 in 4 kids in Europe are at risk of poverty and social exclusion while billionaires double their fortunes and corporations make record profits.

The Left demands €20 billion to eradicate child poverty in the EU.

Poverty is not an accident, and can be fixed. It’s a matter of priorities.

Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya stood as the last line of defense for his patients when northern Gaza was being wiped off the map.

The Left and Greens/EFA in the European Parliament have officially nominated him for the Sakharov Prize for Freedom of Thought.

Today, he is being held in an Israeli prison without charge, without trial, and subjected to torture.

Nominating Dr. Abu Safiya isn’t just about honouring him. It is about honouring every doctor, nurse, and paramedic who has been targeted, abducted, or murdered while fighting to save lives amidst genocide.

We need an immediate suspension of the EU-Israel Association Agreement.

When international law starts holding war criminals and colonial powers accountable, the US tries to tear the system down.

Europe's data centres 🤝 Croatia's total annual energy consumption

In 2025 alone, European data centres swallowed 20.7 terawatt-hours, the same annual amount of energy consumption of Croatia.

In Ireland, data centres burn through 23% of the nation's electricity, skyrocketing to 80% in Dublin.

Data centers are draining our grids and destroying our climate, while the European Commission tries to hide the true impact on the environment to protect Big Tech profits.

Energy is a public good. Not a commodity for the rich to exploit while they burn the planet.

Your mental health shouldn't be the cost of having a job.

Over 840,000 people die every year from work-related psychosocial risks. Millions more face low wages, job precarity, and extreme burnout, while the right wing continues to protect employers instead of workers.

Burnout is a workplace issue, not a personal failure. This , we are demanding binding EU rules to protect workers from exploitation.

Mental health is a fundamental right.
