'In a rural community, opportunities for young people are often shaped by distance, transport, family resources, and whether there is a trusted place where they feel welcome. In Budila, we brought youth work into the places young people already know: the school and community spaces' - shared with us Sorina Carmen Văcariu, program manager of the youth organization Asociația Sprijin și Dezvoltare (Support and Development Association) from Romania 🎯😍👏

📌 Limited access to early education?
📌 High risk of early school leaving?
📌 Reduced access to health services?
📌 Low civic participation among young people?

If these challenges sound familiar, read our full interview with Sorina and discover the project The Key to the Future and its results in our IN-Focus series 👉 https://europegoeslocal.eu/egl-action/keytothefuture/

· Learn how campaigning, organising and leadership connect, and why stories drive change

· Build your campaign's theory of change and write your own Organising Sentence

· Craft and practise your "Story of Self", a 3-minute personal story, with coaching and feedback from peers

· Connect your story to your campaign and your online content

📣 Europe Goes Local: Using Erasmus+ KA153 Mobility Projects to Strengthen Local Youth Work training

📅 8–10 December 2026
📍 Belgrade, Serbia
🗓️ Apply by 11 October 2026 👉 here http://trainings.salto-youth.net/15288

🌍 What if your local youth work needs could become your next Erasmus+ project?

Youth workers, trainers, project managers, and municipal representatives: this is a practical opportunity for you to explore how Mobility of Youth Workers (KA153) can help you:

✨ turn local needs into strong project ideas
🤝 connect with potential European partners
💡 learn from practical examples and experienced youth work organisations
🛠️ improve your KA153 project application
🌱 strengthen youth work in your municipality and local community

We particularly encourage colleagues working in rural, remote and less accessible areas to apply.

Accommodation and meals are provided by the Serbian National Agency.

You don't need a fully drafted project application. Bring your local challenges, ideas and questions, and let's explore what they could become in a European context. Come with an idea. Leave with connections, inspiration, and a clearer path towards your next KA153 project.

❗Deadline to apply: 11 October

'Youth Council Thermi was created to give young people a structural role in the local community and a space for , , and . In a municipality consisting of 14 communities, we use the sociocracy method - a participatory decision-making protocol sustained by consent and bottom-up responsibility. It is a model in which information circulates and remains freely accessible, and in which every member participates on equal terms in pursuit of the common goal' - told us Stefania Kampouri from the Youth Council. 👏 🎯

Did you know that Thermi is the national youth capital 2026? 🇬🇷 😍
