Ambassador Bill White: "Full steam ahead at the Port of Zeebrugge! ⚓🇺🇸🇧🇪

Thank you to Joël Gorsele of Intervest/TPG, Port Alderman Johan Klaps and our representatives from WWL, TBN, AET, and GXO for the warm welcome. From the quay, I got a firsthand look at the RoRo operations that keep vehicles and cargo moving between Belgium, the United States and the world.

Next, Intervest/TPG and GXO welcomed me to Zeebrugge Green Logistics for a site tour. I had the chance to share a few words about the strong economic ties between our two countries.

At CLdN, CEO Florent Maes and his team showed me their port infrastructure and took me aboard one of their RoRo ships. 🚢

I ended the day at the Fluxys LNG Terminal with CEO Pascal De Buck and Chief of Staff to the Prime Minister Pascal Heyman, learning how the terminal helps secure Europe's energy supply. ⚡

Zeebrugge keeps trade between our countries moving every day. Thank you all for a fascinating visit!"

Great to be on VRT Terzake with Annelies Beck last night. President Trump is bringing two parties together. We are sending our best wishes to Ambassador Special Envoy Steve Witkoff, who is engaged in meetings in Oslo with President Zelenskyy to bring about peace between Ukraine and Russia.

Inspector Nordine El Talbi tragically was brutally murdered in the line of duty. For 17 years he dedicated his life to protecting others. Beyond his uniform, he was a loving father, devoted partner, and cherished member of his community. To his beloved Manon, their two precious children, and his fellow officers, Bryan and I and President Trump send our most heartfelt condolences. America stands shoulder to shoulder with Belgium and Belgian Federal Police in honoring his courage and making the ultimate sacrifice.

Ambassador Bill White: "🇺🇸🇧🇪 What a great day in Calhoun, Georgia!
Bryan and I joined SBA Administrator Kelly Loeffler, Gordon County leaders, Blackstone’s Kristan King Nevins, CEO Jos De Vuyst and the Stow Group team to open Stow's first U.S. manufacturing plant. This Belgian company leads Europe in storage and industrial racking. It has invested about $50 million here and will bring 200 quality American manufacturing jobs to Gordon County by mid-2027.

I am very grateful to Jos De Vuyst, one of the greatest CEOs in Belgium, and to his shareholders and investors for their strategic decision to invest in America.
Production started this spring, and they're already exploring a second U.S. plant! 🏭

This is President Trump's America First agenda at work. Fair trade is bringing jobs and production back to our shores. We are so proud of Stow Group, and we thank them!"

Bryan and I were honored to join Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent and his husband, John Freeman, for dinner. Thank you both for your strong support of our work in Belgium. I'm also grateful to Energy Secretary Chris Wright, U.S. Trade Representative Jamieson Greer, and U.S. Senior Advisor for Arab and African Affairs Massad Boulos for meeting during my time in Washington. Together, we talked about how to deepen the U.S.-Belgium relationship and continue expanding trade between our two great nations.

More investment, more energy cooperation, and more jobs on both sides of the Atlantic: that's the mission. Back to Brussels soon to get down to business!” 🇺🇸🇧🇪

Bryan and I had a wonderful meeting with my longtime friend Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick to discuss our work to grow U.S.-Belgium trade. Finally, we shared a wonderful dinner with FBI director Kash Patel, his fiancée Alexis Wilkins, White House Deputy Chief of Staff Dan Scavino, and State Department Art in Embassies Director Erin Scavino at The Oak Room. 🏛️ Bryan and I are honored to meet with President Trump in the Oval Office, where I will update the President on our $100 BILLION in new business with Belgium through U.S. LNG, Nuclear Power Plant innovation and technology, and other great economic deal closings and present the President with the FREEDOM250 Super Bowl-sized diamond ring from the Antwerp World Diamond Centre in honor of the United States' 250th anniversary. I also look forward to meeting with other Cabinet secretaries and State Department officials while in Washington.

🏭 In Adairsville, Georgia, we will celebrate as Belgium's stow Group opens its first U.S. manufacturing facility, a $50 million investment that will support about 200 American jobs.

🇺🇸 On October 16, I'll stand with the veterans of Task Force Dagger and the Nightstalkers at the America's Response Monument, known as the Horse Solider Monument, at Ground Zero in New York to mark 25 years since their mission in Afghanistan.”
