Turkish authorities have ordered access restrictions on the national and Istanbul X accounts of the Workers’ Party of Turkey ( ), a parliamentary party far from us politically, whose right to communicate freely must be respected.
Political differences cannot determine who may speak in a democracy.
With organisations documenting online censorship also facing restrictions, Europe must stand up for freedom of expression, political pluralism and the rights of opposition voices in Turkey.

Zelensky is leading a country at war, facing daily attacks and defending its sovereignty and freedom. Turning on him instead of keeping the pressure on Vladimir Putin sends exactly the wrong signal. Despite everything, there is hope in .

For months, students and young people have taken to the streets, refusing to accept corruption, intimidation and a democracy emptied of its meaning. Their mobilisation tells us something bigger: a new generation of Serbs is ready to fight for a different future.

Vučić’s system may look powerful, but no system lasts forever when a new generation stops being afraid and starts demanding change.

Europe must stand with them and give their hope a horizon. Because Serbia can change. And this generation can change it.

Samuel avait choisi d’enseigner pour former des esprits libres et des citoyens éclairés. C’est en défendant cette liberté que nous honorerons sa mémoire.
En l’assassinant avec une barbarie inouïe, le terrorisme islamiste entendait adresser un message à la , à l’Europe et à toutes nos démocraties : nous intimider, nous faire reculer, nous contraindre à renoncer à nos valeurs et à nos libertés.
Six ans plus t**d, notre réponse demeure inchangée : nous n’avons pas cédé. La terreur n’a pas eu raison de nos principes.
Honorer la mémoire de , c’est défendre sans relâche ce qu’il incarnait : l’École de la République, la liberté d’expression, la laïcité, l’esprit critique et la liberté de conscience. C’est aussi refuser toute complaisance, toute banalisation et toute justification de l’extrémisme islamiste.
Car la plus belle fidélité à sa mémoire est de ne jamais renoncer à la liberté qu’il enseignait.
