🇳🇱

A few years ago, Corneel Clarys and Youri Van Miegroet launched a LEGO project to build structures together that would do their “part” in commemorating the Great War.
The first project was Hedge Row Trench.
This project was made possible thanks to local sponsors and their own financial contributions.
Hedge Row Trench began with a tour of various well-known locations in the Westhoek region.
It was even exhibited in Hamme, East Flanders.
Ultimately, this magnificent creation, comprising 25,000 bricks, found a permanent home in the visitor center of the Visit Commonwealth War Graves in Beaurains.
Measuring 2 meters by 2 meters, it was a creation you simply couldn’t miss.
On September 12, we will transform Hedge Row Trench into an Educational Cemetery 🪦.
Based on this new structure, guides from the Commonwealth War Graves Commission and, hopefully, many other guides will be able to easily explain the various landmarks of a cemetery to visitors of all ages.
So, the Lego version of Hedge Row Trench will no longer exist, but it will serve as the foundation for the new Educational Lego Project.
We hope that with this new structure, we can continue to contribute our “Lego brick.”
