The African Union CIEFFA extends its heartfelt condolences to the families and loved ones of the 16 young girls who tragically lost their lives in the fire incident at Utumishi Girlsโ Academy in Gilgil, Nakuru County, Kenya.
We also express our deepest sympathies to the Government of Kenya, the school community, and the entire education community during this profoundly difficult time.
This tragic loss is a stark reminder of the importance of ensuring safe, secure, and supportive learning environments for all learners.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the bereaved families and all those affected by this devastating incident.
