Embassy of Denmark in Bulgaria

The Embassy in Sofia will be closed on the 1st of May, 6th of May, and 25th of May in observance of Bulgarian national holidays.

The Consulate in Varna will be closed on the 1st of May, 5th to 7th of May, and 25th of May.

With Easter having arrived in both Denmark and Bulgaria, we want to dive into some of our beloved Danish Easter traditions🐣

The Embassy in Sofia will be closed on Friday the 10th of April and on Monday the 13th of April.

The Consulate in Varna will also be closed from the 10th of April until the 14th of April.

The Entry/Exit System marks a new era in border security. 29 European countries using the EES digitally record non-EU nationals travelling for short stays. They will hold reliable data on who crosses the borders with a foreign passport. Thanks to the EES, Europe is a safer place for all.

Честит ден на освобождението!🇧🇬

This year marks 148 years since Bulgaria was liberated from the Ottoman Empire in 1878. Since that time, Bulgaria has blossomed into the modern state we know today, represented by its white, green and red flag, a rich cultural history, and Danish-Bulgarian diplomatic ties dating all the way back to 1931📜

Since the first resident ambassador from the Kingdom of Denmark arrived in Sofia in 1990, Danish and Bulgarian relations have grown even stronger, and today we continue to build and strengthen mutual understanding, trust, and cooperation between our two nations🤝

We wish all Bulgarians a joyous Liberation Day!☀️
