🀝 Working seamlessly side by side.

Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force JS Yuudachi πŸ‡―πŸ‡΅ and Armada ship CANARIAS πŸ‡ͺπŸ‡Έ conduct a PASSEX while deployed on counter piracy missions in and around the Gulf of Aden.

The two ships are working for CMF and European Union Naval Force - Operation Atalanta πŸ‡ͺπŸ‡Ί respectively, essential partner organisations in countering the illicit activities of non-state actors at sea.

Conducting manoeuvres like this in close quarters helps crews strengthen their understanding of each others procedures, tests communication and helps practise cooperation for when the ships target suspect vessels for real.
