𝐀𝐍𝐍𝐎𝐔𝐍𝐂𝐄𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓: As part of the Philippine Independence Day celebration, the Philippine Embassy in Manama will hold a Consular Outreach Mission on 12 June 2026 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM and on 13 June 2026 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM (OV Registration and SSS services only), at the Oasis Mall, Juffair. Ambassador Gines Jaime Ricardo D. Gallaga (6th from right) led the commemoration of the 31st National Migrant Workers Day held at the Consular, Migrant Workers, and Welfare offices of the Embassy on 7 June 2026. The Embassy offered bread and drinks for the Filipino clientele today.

National Migrant Workers' Day is celebrated annually in the Philippines on 7 June to commemorate the enactment of the Migrant Workers and Overseas Filipinos Act in 1995 and to honor the sacrifices and economic contributions of Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs).

Ambassador Gines Jaime Ricardo D. Gallaga paid a courtesy call on Her Excellency Shaikha Rana bint Isa bin Duaij Al Khalifa, Director General of the Bahrain Institute of Public Administration (BIPA), on 25 May 2026. During the meeting, both sides exchanged views on the importance of capacity-building, professional development, certification programs, and lifelong learning for both public servants and private-sector employees. They also explored potential areas of cooperation, including the exchange of lecturers and subject-matter experts in emerging and high-demand fields such as artificial intelligence, customer service excellence, and public sector innovation.

Ambassador Gines Jaime Ricardo D. Gallaga paid a courtesy call on H.E. Shaikh Salman Bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance and National Economy and Chairman of Bahrain Mumtalakat Holding Company on 24 May 2026. H.E. Noor bint Ali Al Khulaif, Minister of Sustainable Development and Chief Executive of the Bahrain Economic Development Board, H.E. Abdulla bin Adel Fakhro, Minister of Industry and Commerce, H.E. Shaikh Abdulla bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Chief Executive Officer of Bahrain Mumtalakat Holding Company, and Mr. Yousif Salahuddin Ebrahim, First Vice Chairman of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry, were also in attendance during the courtesy call.

Both sides underscored the close bilateral relations, and agreed on the need to complement the strong people to people connection between the two countries with increased economic ties and activities. The meeting also discussed extensive opportunities on investment and trade, tourism, food security and other mutual aspirations in furthering bilateral cooperation between the two countries.
