Bermuda Aquarium, Museum and Zoo supported by Bermuda Zoological Society

Earlier this month, we were incredibly pleased to invite writers Susana Amaral Pimentel and her daughter, Julia, for a special reading of their book Wings of Wonder.

A story about adventure, friendship and heritage, Wings of Wonder follows Carlos, a young Cagarro seabird who is separated from his grandfather during a storm and washed ashore in Bermuda. With the help of Clarice, a wise Cahow, Carlos journeys across the island and discovers the rich history of Bermuda's Portuguese community along the way.

We loved the connection to the writers' heritage and the chance to learn more about Bermuda's national bird. Attendees of the reading got creative and made their own seabirds, and learned some interesting facts about the seabirds that visit Bermuda.

We appreciate Susana and Julia for sharing their special book with us, and everyone who joined us for the event.
